Family, Infant & Toddler Program (FITP) of Vermont
The Vermont Parent Information Center collaborates with the FITP of Vermont to increase support to families at critical transition times and help children access early education services. As a service to the community, VPIC is pleased to host the following information about the Family, Infant & Toddler Program of Vermont.
The Family, Infant and Toddler Program (FITP) provides a broad array of services to children with special needs, birth through three years of age, and their families. Some examples of FIT services include assistive technology, family support and training and home visits, nutrition services. physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy. Through the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), each family sets goals for their child and family based on their priorities and concerns and helps to identify the early intervention supports they will need to reach those goals.
