| VPIC Programs | FITP Continuous Quality Improvement Efforts As a service to the community, VPIC is proud to host the following information about the Family, Infant & Toddler Program of Vermont. Continuous Improvement Monitoring Process (CIMP) The Vermont State Performance Plan for Part C (known as the Family, Infant and Toddler Program) of the Individuals with Disabilities Improvement Act (IDE IA)of 2004 required the US Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) to establish monitoring priorities in order to assure that states are in compliance with IDE IA and are providing Early Intervention Services that demonstrate progress in child and family outcomes. OSEP developed 14 monitoring priorities and indicators that they will use to monitor states. Vermont submitted its plan for approval on 12/1/2005. After a conversatioin with OSEP and some minor changes in Child Find targets (the narrative was dropped and numbers entered instead), Vermont sent in revisions to the State Performance Plan for monitoring priorities 5 and 6. |
