VPIC Programs
Nathan graduated from high school and is on his way to becoming a successful adult.
Nathan's Story - Nathan was a bright boy, so bright that he was able to cover up his Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and learning differences. But in fifth grade, his real struggle began. Nate started getting in trouble at school, and his grades dropprf. Fortunately his mother heard about VPIC, and with our help, both she and and Nate developed some helpful skills and strategies. Nate was testedfor learning disabilities and diagnosed with ADD. His education team developed an Individual Education Program (IEP) to help him cope with his learning challenges and ease his transition to high school. He didn't want to be pulled out of class for special help because it made him feel different from the other kids, but Nate listened to his parents and got the extra support he needed. Over time he learned to deal with his differences and along the way discovered a passion for cooking. It wasn't easy, but with the help of his parents, VPIC, and the special education team at school, Nate found his way.
