VPIC's 4 New Pamphlets for Youth in Transition

In conjunction with VocRehab Vermont, VPIC has developed four new pamphlets for youth in transition. You can order the pamphlets by contacting VPIC or by using the order form.

"Take Charge of your IEP and Transition Plan" answers the questions: "What is an IEP? Why should I go to my IEP meetings? And "What is a transition plan?"

There are two of these pamphlets:

The green version is "abridged" or "youth friendly" and explains in plain language (around the 6th grade reading level).
The blue version is a fuller detailed version, written at an adult level and opens up into a large sheet. It explains in more detail about the IEP, testing, and transition plan.

"Speak Up for yourself and your future" addresses self-advocacy for youth with disabilities.

There are two of these pamphlets:

The green version is "abridged" or "youth friendly" and explains in plain language(around the 6th grade reading level) about self-advocacy.
The blue version is a fuller version, written at an adult level and opens up into a large sheet. It lists resources and has a series of questions for each suggested step toward self-advocacy.
